Frequently Asked Questions

  • I do not take insurance, but many insurances have out of network benefits that can assist with paying for therapy.

  • If you have a PPO plan, you can have your insurance reimburse you for services that are out of network, including mental health services.

  • I see clients from NY state via telehealth only.

  • If you’re on a student health plan in New York, your benefits still depend on that specific plan, but you’re generally protected by the same laws as other insured patients. That means you may have coverage for out-of-network care, and you’re protected from “surprise bills” (you typically only pay your in-network cost-sharing in those cases).

Because student plans vary, it’s best to check your specific coverage, but many students are still eligible for reimbursement or protections when working with an out-of-network therapist licensed in New York.

  • Sessions cost $200, but I do offer a sliding scale.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a goal-oriented, evidence-based form of therapy focused on changing negative thought patterns. It directly addresses how thoughts, intrusive and subconscious, inform your actions. By addressing these patterns directly, CBT helps shift underlying processes to support more adaptive behaviors and improved outcomes.
